  Foundation Directory Online (FDO) is the Foundation Center's database of 
                    over 140,000 foundations, corporate giving 
                    programs, and grantmaking public charities in the U.S, over 
                    2.2 million recently awarded grants; and a 
                    keyword-searchable database of recently filed 
                    IRS Forms 990 and 990-PF. For in-library use 
                        only.

                    is the Foundation Center's database of over 8,500 foundation and public charity 
                    programs that fund students, artists, researchers, and other 
                    individual grantseekers. For in-library use only.

                        |  Currently we do not have access to the AGM Grantmaker's 
                        Directory, an online database of over 400 public and 
                        private foundations and corporations in the Greater 
                        Boston area. However, the AGM website does have useful 
                        information that for grant seekers, including the AGM 
                        Common Proposal Form.

                        |  A central source of information on U.S. nonprofits.

					Library staff trainers are available by 
                    appointment to assist you if you need help to get started 
                    with your database research.
 
 If you are already familiar with searching the databases, 
                    you may use the resources of the Grant Resource Center 
                    at any time without assistance.
 
 You may save the results of your search on a flash drive, or you may send the results to your email.
 
 For your convenience, you may make a reservation for a 
                    specific date and time to use the Grant Resource Center’s 
                    computer to search the databases, or you may set up an 
                    appointment to meet with a trainer to help you get started 
                    with your database searches.

 Grant seekers, please note:
 
 In order to make the best use of your time using the Grant 
                    Resource Center, you should be think about these questions 
                    prior to starting your database research:
 
 • What is my organization’s mission statement?
 • What services does my organization provide?
 • What population does my organization serve?
 • What is the program/endeavor I am seeking funding 
                    for?
 • How much money am I looking for and how will it be 
                    used?
 • What is my organization’s tax status?
 
 The library staff/community volunteer trainers are available by 
                    appointment to help you begin the research you need to 
                    identify grant makers. They can familiarize you with the 
                    databases and help you to formulate queries that will help 
                    you identify potential funders.
 
 Please note that library staff/trainers do not assist in the 
                    grant writing or grant review process. Periodic training 
                    sessions will be offered at the library.
